About Bournemouth Innocence Project
Law students at Bournemouth University Launched the “Bournemouth Innocence Project” in October 2007 to investigate, re-visit, affect change and facilitate public awareness about miscarriage’s of Justice in the UK.
The students became through their studies, acutely aware that our legal system is not perfect and that many wrongful conviction and/or imprisonment of innocent people remain unchallenged and these ‘victims’ of the system are often forgotten and have no voice or recourse of their own or much by way of support of any helpful or professional supportive nature once they are convicted.
The main objective must be to help those affected now and cause change thus preventing future wrongful convictions in the UK.
